i met a couple i used to know many years ago (probably 20) in a local "big box" store.

i knew they looked familiar and since they were dressed up and it was saturday "mid day" i put two and two and two and came up with 666... they were jw's.

i didn't say anything to them just minded my business picking up supplies when the woman came over to me and started asking me if she new me from work or some company.

what do Jehovah's witness believe in relation to alien races

i know jehovah created all life through his son jesus, recenttly i have been reading about different races of et beings visiting our planet and claiming to be a form of us from the future, i,m just wondering can anyone tell me if there is any scriptural refrences to these beings..

As for the aliens, of course they don't believe in them. When I was "IN" they were likened to "expressions of demons."

For me, I will believe in aliens and god/gods when I find direct evidence of their existence... call me crazy.

Jehovah is the first and the last so he has been here before us and has seen this time as he has seen a million years from now

Jehovah cannot lie, all scripture is inspired by Jehovah, scripture tell us all things were made through the son hence my belief.

You sound like you are completely programmed to still believe all the crap the WTBTS tells you to believe. Putting aside all the programming you have, can you think for yourself? Can you use some logic and critical thinking? Can you put down your book written 3500+ years ago and be open to more realistic possibilities?

You came to this "apostate" site for some reason. Stay for a while. Look around, search and use your critical thinking skills that the JW’s what you to suppress. Many people here still have faith in god, but most who do, don't have faith in the god of the Watchtower.

if you own a company or small business, will you hire a jw over a non-jw?

did you find jws more productive than non-jws and more honest and outgoing for your business expansion?

the watchtower tries to state that jws are in high demand because of their honesty, you think the world is smarting up and realizing they are just regular people who follow men?

I wanted to punch this elder so bad!

so i decided to attend the meeting last.

since i haven't gone in about 2 weeks, and i leave as soon as it ends, and elder decided to corner me at the end.

lately i've been through some very depressing family issues that are non-jw related so i haven't been my best at acting like i care about the org.

Why are most elders such assholes? Appointed by Holy Spirit my ass.

I think there are 2 types of elders: Those who think they can make a difference and truly care about the people and show genuine love, and those who are there because of the control and power and influence over others. That asshole seems to be the latter. And both are truly lost. Good luck with your sure to come lynching…

im very sad, upset and disappointed all at the same time.

why couldnt i just stay away from this dam forum and live my life and blindly dedicated it to the borg.

now i know ttatt, i cant ignore all the facts and all the stories of the great people in this forum.

What do I do now? Do I tell my wife about everything I’ve found out thanks to a lot of you? Do I just ignore everything and live a happy blinded life? Or, do I fade and come up with a story on why I’m fading? What to do? What to do?

Only you know your wife and how she reacts to big, life altering news. I left after a short fade. It didn’t even occur to me that my wife might leave me if I leave the “truth". I knew my wife would be sad about me leaving but I never thought she would leave me. I had a friend who told me “If I did what you are doing, my wife would leave me for sure.” I said to him “What kind of love is that?” He had no response. I haven’t talked to him for months.

A year and a half after I left, my wife told me she was ready to leave the “truth” about a year after we married.(we've been married 10 years this June) She stayed in for me and her family. It took her that year and a half to come out to me that she never fully believed the lies. That came as a shock to me. I never knew how she truly felt abt this cult. She waited so long after I left to tell me because she wanted to make sure it wasn’t a faze I was going through. Now she is totally faded along with me.

If I thought for a second my wife would leave me for leaving the cult, I would have done things different.

Think hard about what type of woman your wife is and if you’re prepared to be miserable. You have 4 paths, 1- you stay in and are miserable. 2- you leave and your wife leaves you. 3- you leave and your wife stays with you but is always disappointed with you and your choices even if she doesn’t tell you how she really feels. Or hopefully 4- you both leave together and remain happy.

Your gut will guide you. Trust your gut. It got you this far.
